Dear Parent / Guardian,
We are delighted to be announcing, we have officially launched our new Club Coaching Framework here at Hibernian Community Club, a step forward in shaping the best possible environment for you and your child.
Our aim is simple:
- Create the best environment for our young people to learn, grow, and love their football.
- Build a supportive, rewarding, and connected environment for our volunteer coaches at grassroots level.
This framework sets out a clear vision for how we can coach, how we can support our volunteers, and how we can ensure every player has a positive, development-focused experience both on and off the pitch.
Volunteer Coaches are the heartbeat of community & grassroots football. By providing clarity, support, and development opportunities, we want to empower them to feel confident, valued, and inspired in their roles.
This is just the beginning, and we’re excited to continue evolving the framework with feedback from those within our environment and those also from outwith.
You can view our Club Framework in the link below;
Our volunteer coaches recently attended an online introduction to the framework as we look to introduce it starting next week (week commencing 2nd February).
Weekly you will start to see communication from us detailing session themes, which our coaches should be working on each week and that your child will be invovled with.
Adding a framework like this brings us in line with leading grassroots clubs around the world but also aligns our coaching structure to be similar to that of leading Elite Academies (be it in a more streamlined and volunteer coach friendly way)
What differences does this mean for me as a parent / guardian? You will not see any direct changes as a parent / guardian apart from weekly communication on our social media and directly to you via our team communication channels detailing our focuses at trainings and at matches at the weekend. This should hopefully keep you informed around what we are delivering weekly as a club within your team.
What differences should my child see? Each week we will work towards set focuses and themes regardless of the level in which your child is playing at within the club. This is all age and stage focussed and works on learning outcomes that have been researched and proven to be correct for each key age. Training sessions should have a clear structure and outcome week in week out too. Enjoyment and Fun should be at heart of all our sessions, as we want everyone in the club falling in love with the game and developing in the correct way.
If anyone has any questions relating to our Club Framework or would like further information please do not hesitate to contact via email on paul@hiberniancf.org
Kind Regards,
Paul Greig
Head of Football
